The book nominated the Best Designed Book of the Year 2005 is “Driven by love and fury – Conversations between Jörn Donner and the artist Stefan Lindfors.” The book was published by Aamulehti Kirjat. Otavan Kirjapaino Oy is responsible for the binding, printing and reproduction of the book. Graphic design is by Mr Tapio Vapaasalo and Mr Tuukka Rantala, and cover design by Mr Juha Larsson. The primary photographers are Mr Marco Melander and Mr Kari Holopainen.
In accordance with the title of the book, the Best Designed Book of the Year could be described as a book to be desired, with a great deal of love for the tradition of experimental typography, and a dose of beautifully controlled fury of narrative illustration. The methods of modern photojournalism have been skilfully employed for book arts. “Driven by love and fury” is an innovative book arts masterpiece.
